One of the best-selling artists of all time is coming to Austin tonight and called in to talk to Booker and Audrey!!

While preparing for her Keys to the Summer Tour stop in Austin, TX, Alicia Keys chopped it up with Mix 94.7's Booker and Audrey to talk about the ins and out of her tour while also giving the singer some much-deserved praise.

The last time Alicia Keys attempted to go on tour, it was at the peak of COVID and she ultimately had to cancel a few shows for obvious health concerns. But this year she's back and better, giving fans her greatest show yet.

When thinking about the production it takes to put together a show, or a whole tour, the "Unthinkable" singer said, "It takes so many people to put this show together," adding that while most shows do, this tour especially required extra assistance. "This particular show is definitely my most ambitious," she admits.

"I love it so much," Alicia said while talking about the setup she requested for her show. From the 360 seating to speakers hung all around the arena, "It's really, really special... It's a very unique experience," she said. "I've been telling people this is the best show I've ever done, and I gotta' say, when people see it, they agree," she revealed.

Would you believe that Alicia Keys has some awards she's not even aware of? While giving her some much-deserved praise, Booker mentioned that she was a Guinness World Record holder, to which she said, "I'm not familiar with being a part of the Guinness Book of World Records."

Booker took the pleasure of enlightening her about the honor, explaining, "On January the 5th of 2008, you became the first solo singer to replace yourself at the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart, when your single 'Like You'll Never See Me Again' dethroned your previous release of 'No One' at number one. No one has ever done that making you a Guinness World Record holder."

Additionally, when talking about the goated collab between Alicia and Jay-Z for "Empire State of Mind," she revealed that the song almost wasn't a thing.

Jay had the idea of the song and felt she would be a perfect addition, however he initially couldn't get in contact with her, she revealed. The crazy part of that story that I just love is that he actually couldn’t get in touch with me -- because, you go through the different channels, management, all these different places -- he couldn’t really get movement on it," she said, adding that "at one point, he was like, ‘Alright, I might have to move on, I can’t connect with her. I guess I have to do it with somebody else.’"

Her thoughts were the same as ours, "could you imagine if that ended up happening?”
