On today's very special episode of Songmess we are coming to you from the Guatemalan town of Panajachel, right off the waters of the truly idyllic Lake Atitlán. Surrounded by volcanoes, verdant hills and the lake's crystal clear waters, today's playlist couldn't help but go in a soothing, deep house direction.

Our guest and guide for this episode is local DJ, producer and mogul Chofo, aka Fabio Me Llaman Soltero. Chofo has been an indispensable part of Guatemala's indie and electronic scene, booking international artists to play at his buzzy parties as well as his Club Azul Rosa, out in Panajachel. He also founded Revista Solemne, an arts and culture magazine, and is one of the co-founders of Sonido Moderna, one of Guatemala's top electronic music collective.
