Nobody ever said forgiveness was easy. In fact, it can be a hard pill to swallow when you aren't ready. But as you get better about forgiveness, it can actually come easier. It's a practice, and necessary to free yourself from the burdens of the past.
Not only do we need to forgive those that have wronged us, but we need to forgive ourselves. We are the ones that create the most anguish to our lives with our thoughts. We have thoughts we need to forgive, ( such as self loathing), and we often tell ourselves stories that aren't true or kind. Forgiveness of thoughts, or situations allows us to move forward.
In this episode, I share all the different modalities of forgiveness that I've experienced. The freeing of forgiveness is liberating. Once you realize the weight that lifts with the act of acceptance of the past for what it is, then you will be released to live your life fully.
