Finally, a WNYC review of internal documents shows that Eric Adams' campaign team regularly sought guidance from campaign finance officials even before he declared his candidacy. However, as the New York City Campaign Finance Board asked more questions to ensure compliance, the campaign stopped replying. Adams' fundraising is now subject to several investigations.
