1. The Cleveland Guardians are getting deep in spring training and we discuss why it is that I don’t put much time or faith into spring training performance. We discuss the importance of spring training and explain why it is also kind of worthless. I explain why no matter how good Oscar Gonzalez looks he has no chance to make the team. I also get into the never-ending narratives about players who are expected to break out and don’t.
2. Next, we talk about the addition of Mitchell Tolman to the roster. I explain why he was added, and how he is similar to recent pitching additions like Jake Jewell and Ian Gibaut where the value is more about depth than anything else. 
3. We end by going super long on who Oakland has left. I find three potential hitters who could help the Guardians in the outfield. I also explain why it is that Steve Kwan should be penciled in as a starter in the outfield and why the Guardians are only interested in players who provide a clear upgrade. We also focus on the outfield depth of the Guardians in the minors and why it might prevent them from being active in looking for help externally.
