---------- Originally Aired on the Good Foods Podcast ----------When it comes farming and how he feels on what we need to do to get our country back on track, Joel Salatin holds no punches. Adhering to the truism that 'honesty is the best policy' Joel stacks the deck.
He co-owns, with his family, Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia and was featured in the New York Times bestseller Omnivore’s Dilemma as well as the award-winning documentary Food Inc., Polyface Farm services more than 5,000 families, 50 restaurants, 10 retail outlets, and a farmers’ market with salad bar beef, pigaerator pork, pastured poultry, and forestry products.
When Joel's not on the road speaking, he’s at home on the farm, keeping the callouses on his hands and dirt under his fingernails, mentoring young people, inspiring visitors, and promoting local, regenerative food and farming systems.

The Good Foods podcast is hosted by Shardan Sandoval and it’s possible that you've heard my voice on a commercial here and there, particularly since I'm currently one of the many talented National Creative Production Designers for iHeartMedia and to date, I voiced and produced commercials that have aired from Hartford to Hawaii.
I created this podcast for Good Foods Grocery in March of 2023 and it is a joy to create this for you.
