After years in the outdoor community both personally and professionally she realized there was a need for more events geared toward people of color. Representation matters. In 2018, she producer the Refuge Outdoor Festival; a 3-day camping experience geared toward people of color. It’s not just fun, it’s to build community and connect for ongoing engagement.
