In the late 70s and early 80s, a famous Soviet defector names Yuri Bezmenov came to America to flee the Communist state of the day but also to aid in the combating of it on the ideological battlefront.

Being a higher level KGB operative, Bezmenov specialized in the subverting of nations at the ideological level. His detailing of it can be found on YouTube in public interviews he performed for the sole purpose of waking up Americans of that day to the information war being waged daily between the Soviet Union and the USA.

So many of the lessons he presented then apply to the society we exist in today that it's almost scary.

We owe it to ourselves to learn what we can from the efforts of people like Yuri in the past to help preserve the bastions of freedom left in western society today.
