Game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Knicks and Pacers at Madison Square Garden is known for the heroics down the stretch by Reggie Miller, but there was so much more to that game than those final 18 seconds.
These two teams were meeting for the third straight time in the playoffs and the 1994 series was another epic seven-game showdown that went to the Knicks.
Heading into 1995, there was tremendous pressure on both New York and Indiana. The Knicks were trying to win that elusive championship and the Pacers were trying to get the Madison Square Garden monkey off their back.
