(1) You should always aim to give first and freely, without an expectation of taking. This creates genuine connections and builds your counsel with a solid foundation for a long and lasting relationship. Just remember the 3 C’s, Connect, Collaborate, Contribute. Ask who can I connect you with that will be an ideal client or source of collaboration.
(2) Share your successes with those who have helped you on your journey.
(3) Don’t take people’s time for granted. Don’t cancel on a coffee, always return calls, learn to listen instead of speaking.
