The ensemble features a blend of returning favorites and exciting new additions: Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Notably absent from the Avengers: Doomsday casting announcement are several major MCU characters and actors fans were hoping to see, including Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk, Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector / Moon Knight, and Mahershala Ali as Blade - perhaps theyll appear in Secret Wars!
