James Meredith is honored by Ole Miss as Senators Roger Wicker and Cindy Hyde-Smith declare September 30th National Guard Day in a dubious resolution which failed to mention white extremists who terrorized Meredith as he integrated Ole Miss, despite mentioning his being Black, and reactions to the LAPD killing of 19 year-old Luis Herrara.
