Ep. 20: Halle Deneen - From Being Cyberbullied to Agency Signed Model & Coach

Today on the Friends in Beauty Podcast we welcome Halle Deneen. Halle Deneen is a nationally signed and published plus size model, Celebrity TV host, and Public Relations Specialist from Baltimore, MD. Halle is a Howard University Alumna where she earned a B.A in Strategic, Legal, Management Communications with honors. Halle has been published in many notable magazines such as British Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, BTFL Mag, Plus Model Magazine, and Black women Style Report Magazine. 

In addition, she has a vast variety of clients including but not limited to Ashley Stewart, Lord and Taylor’s LaLa Anthony, Macys, Fashion to Figure, and CitiTrends! Halle has completed a total of 12 National Campaigns by the age of 21, gracing the storefronts and advertisements nationwide. As a TV host, Halle has interviewed live at the BET Experience for two years consecutively, interviewing celebrities such as 2chainz, Rotimi, and Mackwilds. Halle has also interviewed on the red carpet at the 48 th NAACP Image Awards with Terrance J as a Denny’s and Tom Joyner Foundation Scholar. 

Halle got her very own LLC at the age of 22 and founded ‘To Be A Model’ classes where she teaches women of all shapes and sizes the ins and outs of the modeling industry. Halle also founded her own luxury hair line, HDLUX. She lives by the quote, “live by faith and not by sight.”

In this episode, Halle shares how her journey as a model began and how she overcame a cyber-bullying experience that almost discouraged her from continuing to pursue her modeling dreams. She also shares the challenges that she experienced in the beginning of her career as a plus size model which lead her to taking her career into her own hands which soon led to her becoming an agency signed model.
