Episode 001 - Change Your Mind

Think outside the box of typical real estate training.  Be different!  Be legendary!  Change your mind, focus on your client and they will turn into ravings fans to propel your business like nothing else can!

  • 01:25 – Change your mind to become a legendary agent. Think outside of the box that is beyond marketing. 
  • 02:05 – What is a real estate legend? Length in the business?  Stats?  Units?  What’s more important is what my clients think of me and the service I provide.
  • 02:55 – Be the expert that clients think of when they have questions and need help. Be well rounded
  • 03:35 – No training teaches this. No pre-licensing educates this.
  • 04:35 – Work intentionally! Be remembered, be respected.  Leave a legacy!
  • 05:20 – Be proactive, not reactive. Prepare clients for potential issues.  Set expectations.  This will set the agent apart from other agents.
  • 06:35 – Agents, stop talking about your commissions, units, numbers…about yourself!
  • 07:25 – Track client happiness. Follow up with the client.  Survey your clients.  Consider hiring an outside source.
  • 08:50 – Make 10 great clients happy, instead of 100 potential clients that don’t know you.
  • 09:55 – Get warm leads, not cold leads
  • 11:10 – Not a typical marketing system. Not a get rich quick idea.  This is a long-term business plan.
  • 12:10 – How do you view yourself as an agent? Do you view yourself as a “salesperson” or as a doctor or attorney that clients go to for advice?  That gets portrayed to your clients and they respond.
  • 13:00 – Clients watch their agents and sense their urgency
  • 13:50 – Remember that clients are involved in a few transactions in their lifetime. We are involved with several every month.
  • 14:40 – Use a “bedside manner approach” with your clients.
  • 15:00 – Love what you do. Have passion for your clients and their needs.
  • 15:50 – Work out of inspiration, not desperation.
  • 16:30 – Agents can have a bad day but reframe your mind when you engage with your client.
  • 17:05 – “It’s not about you, agents”. Agency says you are being hired to take care of them.  I am here to serve you.  I am an advocate for you.
  • 18:05 – Agents, love your clients and they will love you back with referrals, positive feedback on social media, etc.
  • 18:30 – Our business is a lifestyle. You have to be on all the time.  Be a real person and be genuine.
  • 19:50 – Be a resource to your client. It is a show of respect for you and a comfort that your clients have with you.
  • 20:40 – Change your mind. Become a legendary agent.  We promise you will create raving fans that love you and will propel your business.
