This week is Discover Catholic Schools Week, a national initiative started by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), to help promote Catholic schools and Catholic education across the country. With this exciting week in mind, host Marianela Nunez and guest host Michael Bress, welcomed four members of the South Jersey Catholic School community to the show: Mary Whipkey, president at Camden Catholic High School; Heather Crisci, principal at Camden Catholic High School; Sr. Michele DeGregorio, principal at St. Margaret Regional School; and Laureen Brady, advancement director at St. Margaret Regional School. Throughout the episode, the group discusses what Discover Catholic Schools Week is all about, what makes each of their schools (and Catholic schools in general) so special, the impact teachers have on their students and the school as a whole, and the true impact donorship can have on the legacy of a school. The conversation wrapped up with a congratulatory message to Mary Whipkey after her recent announcement that she will be retiring at the end of the year.
