EP 2600 I’d rather be lonely than unhappy.

The Strong Life Project

As humans, we have a natural desire for connection and community, and we may fear being alone or isolated. But sometimes, the people or situations that we surround ourselves with can actually be holding us back or causing us unhappiness.

It’s important to recognize that our own happiness and well-being should always come first. It’s better to be alone and happy than to be surrounded by people or situations that make us unhappy or unfulfilled.

So, how can we prioritise our own happiness and well-being? First and foremost, we need to cultivate self-awareness and be honest with ourselves about our needs and desires. Recognise when a situation or relationship is causing you unhappiness or stress, and be willing to make changes.

Secondly, we need to be willing to set boundaries and say no when necessary. Don’t be afraid to prioritise your own needs and well-being, even if it means saying no to others or setting limits on your time and energy.

Finally, we need to be willing to seek out new relationships and communities that align with our values and goals. Surround yourself with people who inspire and support you, and be willing to step outside your comfort zone to make new connections.

Remember, it’s better to be lonely and happy than to be surrounded by people or situations that make us unhappy or unfulfilled. Prioritise your own happiness and well-being, and the right people and opportunities will come into your life.
