For school parents across the country the questions they’ve been asking most are: 1) will schools reopen for in-class education and 2) if so, how will it be done safely? The answers to those very questions have been the primary focus of the Diocese of Camden’s Office of Catholic Schools all summer. Recently, they released a FAQ on the process (https://catholicstarherald.org/questions-and-answers-about-the-2020-21-school-year/) that schools have followed to make possible safe in-person education. To add more depth about the roadmap that South Jersey Catholic Schools are following, we welcome Superintendent of Schools Dr. Bill Watson and Communication and Marketing Manager Mary Beth Peabody to the show. Our hosts Marianela Nunez and Mike Walsh pepper the duo with these questions and more on behalf of Catholic schools parents. It’s a great conversation that results in a lot of answers about logistics and procedures, as well as what research informed them.
