Hysterotomy Closure Based on Data

During my Parkland training in the late 90s, all residents were taught to close the C-Section uterine incision with a single layer locked suture. This was thought to increase hemostasis. New data, however, suggest that doing so may lead to a weaker uterine wall! Single layer, or double layer? Locked or unlocked suture? In this episode, we will review an evidence-based approach to hysterotomy closure.
