Demonizing marijuana and associating it with racist stereotypes that persist to this very day. Since the early 1900’s the US has been waging war on the hemp industry. The change in the majority of public thinking has been a long and arduous process. Public opinion is slowly being won over with multiple studies which show the various applications in medical and industrial sectors.
