INTRODUCTION:
The author of the devotional "Our Daily Bread" on February 26, cited a topic that
had to do with the memories we have in our hearts, mentioning simple things like
a simple recipe written by his mother 40 years ago or a pink teacup of his
grandmother. And it is true since each of us keeps things in special places in our
hearts like: movies or children's games, places visited and people with whom we
interact positively. But in the same way the writer quoted another truth and said
verbatim: What we often keep stashed away in our hearts, though, are things that
have brought us great unhappiness: anxiety, anger, and resentment.
Paul spoke in a more positive way of thinking, and encouraged believers to rejoice
always by taking everything before God in prayer and with that offering us hope
in the midst of tribulation.
Philippians 4:6-8 “
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and
the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus. 8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true,
whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any
virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
