Representing the color-reproduction capabilities of a video display in a two-dimensional graph is highly problematic; usually, the graph does not reveal a true and complete picture (pun intended) of what's going on. A new approach to this problem, called gamut rings, provides a much more accurate and complete representation of what a display can do.
