A general obligation to present proof is in force upon entry to Germany. This means that all persons aged 12 or over must present a negative test result, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery as a basic principle when entering Germany. The general obligation to present proof applies regardless of the means of transport used for entry and irrespective of whether or not a traveler has spent time in a high-risk area or an area with variants of concern.
