“Triumphal Entry”
Luke 19:28-40 ESV

In Luke 19, we read of Jesus, entering the city, while his followers praise him. The Pharisees panic, correctly interpreting their praise as implying that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus informs them that if the people did not praise him, the very rocks would cry out. What is so important and crucial about the triumphal entry that the people needed to worship? Because he was the Lamb of God, presenting himself as the sacrifice for our sins; and when he comes for the second time, he will come as the great king over all creation. 

How do we apply this? By worshiping God, regardless of whether or not we are rebuked by the world; worship with words of truth; worship with our actions.
