Why People Think Youth Ministry is a Joke

All too often youth ministry is seen as JV, shallow, or immature. But the truth of the matter is that those of us in student ministry have an amazing opportunity to impact eternal, image-bearers of God during some of the most formative years of their lives. It is up to us to help steer the discipleship of the students that God has placed in our ministries by pointing them to God and His revealed Word. The “kids” in our ministries are the church of God today and will be the leaders of the church tomorrow. It is imperative for us to take this seriously and apply ourselves fully to this ministry to which we have been called.
