We are back in full force for Episode Ten as our good friend Marques Ogden joins the show! Marques played offensive line for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and more NFL teams, before venturing into construction. He lost nearly every penny he had after business deals gone awry, and had to essentially re-start his life and career. Marques has now made a career from public speaking, consulting, and career counseling. Our paths crossed when we recruited him to speak at Bryant University back in 2016, and his career has taken off immensely since then. Marques has worked with 15 Fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams, colleges across the country, and many more private clients. In this week’s episode, we have a great discussion on his rise to fame, business advice that every young professional should take, and when we can expect to see fans in NFL seats.
In Beers, Will goes to his “ol’ reliable” Greenport Harbor, and Jake finally picks an in-season beer…better yet, a homebrew selection. In Business, we recap the market’s performance last week and evaluate the coming days as a potential buy period. We also name our stock of the week – hint, they may be doing the COVID-19 screenings at airports. In Balls, we discuss the MLB returning (or not returning…), the Yankees’ slouch of a “cheating scandal” (lol), and name our “Way Too Early” College Football Top 25.
