At Gethsemane, Jesus begged his Father for a way out of the agony that lay before him; nevertheless, despite the pain and suffering he was going through, Jesus was willing to submit to the Father's will. It is at this difficult time that Jesus teaches Peter an essential lesson: Peter will never find the strength he needs to withstand temptation in his own flesh - Peter must learn to watch and pray.
