Believing they're supposed to invade Earth, goofy little green martians land in Illinois on Halloween and have to contend with a confused lynch mob and cybernetic Overlords.

An absolute classic.  Not every sci fi film has to have blood and guts, if you got a killer concept.

Directed and written by Patrick Read Johnson, a special effects wizard who would go onto to do Angus, Baby’s Day Out, and produce Dargonheart.
