Women, mothers, martyrs - the lives and heroic witness of Saints Perpetua & Felicity are chronicled in the former’s diary, one of the earliest writings of a Christian woman. Their persecution and deaths in 3rd century North Africa shine a light on the courage of Jesus’ disciples, and Talking Saints hosts Laurie Power and Pete Sanchez find inspiration in recounting the deeds of these remarkable saints. The hosts also took to heart the words of Perpetua to her father, on her beliefs—“Do you see this vessel—waterpot or whatever it may be? Can it be called by any other name than what it is?...So also I cannot call myself by any other name than what I am—a Christian.”
Our hosts, as well, in this Year of Saint Joseph, continue the recitation of “The Litany of Saint Joseph,” which can be found here: https://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/prayers-and-devotions/litanies/litany-of-saint-joseph
