The NCAA has found itself wrestling with constant change: Burgeoning TV Rights deals, athletes monetizing their image, and major conferences adding and subtracting big schools from their roster. Those issues weren't on Val Ackerman radar as a four-year hoops star at the University of Virginia. They were secondary as she helped launch the WNBA. Now, as Big East Commissioner, they're at the forefront, calling on all of her skills as a leader and a strategist.
