Episode 34: Solve. Their. Problems.

There are a ton of people trying to be entrepreneurs now, and I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Lately I have started noticing one very simple difference that separates the good ones from the bad ones though.

That is the difference between the businesses that want your problems to be solved and the businesses that just straight up and down want your money. Believe it or not, it is sometimes better to turn down sales in order to sustain your business.

I've had the experiences where I canceled subscriptions, stopped buying products, what have you and the owners of the businesses would come after me for being a "quitter"

Rule #1: Don't call your customers quitters

Always show genuine interest in what their actual problem is and then help them find a solution to that problem. Whether that solution is provided by your business or not doesn't matter. It is all about trust at this point and making customers not trust you is the WORST thing you can do to a business.
