Here's the deal.
Exceptions are really just the root of excuses... and we all know where excuses get you.
If you are going to try and form a new habit, or start some new practice, it ought to be something that you can do with ZERO exceptions.
This means there is no "holidays don't count" or "this doesn't count because _____"
If you can't do it, you can't do it. Face it. Or get over it.
