Peter calls the believer to live a life that is unnatural. We are to love others, to be kind-hearted and sympathetic, to be humble. We are not to retaliate or to seek vengeance, but rather to bless those who seek to do us harm. This is the "good life", but our only hope to live that way is if we live in the presence of our Lord, knowing He will help us when we call out to Him.
