1. The Cleveland Guardians are currently third in the wild card, they have the youngest roster in baseball for the second year in a row. Yet none of their top prospects have hit the big leagues yet and they just added another prospect to MLB Pipeline's top 100 prospects giving them the most of any team in the top 100. This is a fun team right now and only going to get better. We talk about Gavin Williams's AA debut before diving into the come-from-behind walk-off win Friday against the Athletics. 
2. Next, we talk about the disappointing game Saturday which was lost due to a Josh Naylor error in the seventh. We discuss how it might have played out if he had gotten the sure out before beginning to discuss the Sunday win. I also beg for the Guardians to stop benching better hitters due to perceived platoon advantages. The platoon advantage only works if you have good hitters otherwise you just end up with bad performances, either way, might as well let the young kids play.
3. We end up talking more about the Sunday win. We get into why even with Amed Rosario playing better why he should not be hitting 2nd or playing shortstop. He has a place on the Guardians but it is miscast. We talk about Trevor Stephen’s struggles before focusing on Oscar Gonzalez. We focus on how amazing he has been and try and find a pathway for him to succeed along with trying to just find any hitters that are similar to him in terms of walk percentages. I think there is a major league player there, but one has to release there are a lot of risks inherent in his profile when so few players like him find success yet also understand most players like him never even make it to the upper majors and find success let alone in the majors.
