Dr. Karleen Su's mission is to help physicians achieve higher work satisfaction and autonomy by empowering them with resources to thrive in private practice. She is a co-founder of Amicus Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center in Whittier in 2015. Since working as a community rheumatologist and opening her own private practice, she has learned about the many challenges faced by physicians in private practice and sought ways to network with other private practice rheumatologists for support. In 2018, she co-founded Rheumatology Private Practice Facebook Group that has grown to 800+ members where she encouraged members to share their knowledge and experience with each other in their private practice journey.
This year, she will launch an inaugural event called Rheumatology Private Practice Alliance (RPPA) Growth Summit that will provide invaluable resources to help rheumatologists take their existing practice to the next level as well as assisting those looking to open their own practice. One of the areas she is very passionate about is guiding physicians on how to hire the right people for their practice. In today's episode, she discussed how to hire a premed or prePA candidate to join your practice as an administrative assistant, receptionist, medical assistant, or scribe and whether it is the right option for your practice.
