Self described as the "accidental makeup artist," her career took a serendipitous turn when her family opened a salon, propelling her into roles as a manager, licensed esthetician, and makeup artist for various occasions.
As one of the pioneering educators of The Makeup Show, Kat has made a significant mark in the industry, contributing her expertise to fashion shows, photoshoots, and celebrity engagements. She is driven by a mission to demystify beauty, advocating for simplicity in routines and boosting self-esteem among her clients.
More than just focusing on aesthetic appeal, Kat is committed to fostering a supportive community for beauty professionals and enthusiasts to exchange knowledge and experiences. Her goal is to dismantle the daunting aspects of the beauty world, offering empowerment through makeup for both novices and experts.
Kat's professional acclaim is highlighted by her role as the Senior Makeup and Hair Artist at CNN DC, her portrait work for prestigious outlets like Vogue and Vanity Fair, and collaborations with a wide array of high-profile clients and celebrities for various events.
Additionally, Kat expands her influence beyond makeup through her entrepreneurial ventures. She co-owns a skincare studio with her daughter, Mia, and a photography studio with her husband, Luis, in Woodbridge, VA, blending her artistic vision with family and business, something she accredits being possible due to her affiliation with LimeLife by Alcone.
