John 8:1-11

 1.  HOW SINNERS TREAT SINNERS   –  Terribly

“Reprove, Rebuke & Exhort.”  2 Timothy 4:2

“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness; . . . and so fulfill the law of Christ.”  Galatians 6:1-2

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  John 13:34 

2.  HOW THE LAW TREATS SINNERS  –  Mercilessly

“We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.” 1 Timothy 1:8

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.   For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.  James 2:10-11

3.  HOW JESUS CHRIST TREATS SINNERS  –  Graciously
 
A.  He Declares Our Sin
 
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already...”  John 3:17-18 
 
B.  He Satisfies Our Sin
 
“For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement (ASV Propitiation) for the sins of the people.”  Hebrews 2:17 
 
“And He (God) shall see the travail of His soul (Jesus) and shall be satisfied.”  Isaiah 53:11 
 
C.  He Forgives Our Sin  – “Neither do I condemn you.”  
 
“Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.”  Acts 20:28 
 
“Go Your Way and Sin No More.”
