Lookahead: Was 2021 a horrible fluke for BC? Or a preview of 2022?
The staggering toll on people and infrastructure over three separate climate disasters in British Columbia this year was highly unlikely, even considering the degree of warming the world has seen. But we also just don't know how weather systems will react in the climate era. As BC plans to rebuild, how should its government be thinking about adaptation? How can it be ready for whatever comes next, even if it's not as bad as this past year ... yet.
