Whether you have goals to remain a freelancer for life, or aspirations to become an entrepreneur, you will have to know how to manage a workload when it comes your way. 

The reality is that being just a freelancer comes with restrictions. You can only take on so many projects as just one person so if you want to be able to take on more, you will have to hire some extra help. 

Now if you aren't going down the business route, but enjoy freelancing because of the flexibility, then you can easily set limits for your work. You can usually do this on freelancing sites, or if you work directly with clients, you can make sure that your agreements state how much work you can take on at once.
