Ignacio Salazar is a big wave surfer who chases swells around the world in order to inspire people. Although he is known as Ignacio on the streets of downtown Punta Hermosa, Peru, they call him “Spud” in his adopted home of Australia. In 2014, Ignacio’s wave at Shipstern’s Bluff in Tasmania was nominated at the Billabong XXL awards for “Ride of the Year” and he has also had nominations for waves he has caught at big wave locations such as Mavericks in California. In this week's episode, Ignacio is with me to share his journey, experiences, challenges and hopes for the future.
