Paul speaks to this church who is unusually gifted and reminds them that their greatest pursuit must be that of love. Love is not seen as a feeling, but rather as actions that ought to be taken. When this is done, the gifts that God has given to the church will be effectual for the purpose for which they were designed: to build the church. In light of eternity, our lives are short; we must use them to lovingly speak truth into the lives of one another.
