Luke 12:22-34, January 29, 2023
Main Point: We glorify God when we trust Him instead of worrying about things.
As God’s children, we need not worry because:
1. God knows what we need.
- Luke 12:30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
- Matthew 6:8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
- Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2. God has the power to supply our needs.
- Luke 12:24Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
- Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
- Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
3. God is pleased in blessing us.
- Luke 12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- Ephesians 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
- Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
