Today we have a good old hack-like episode…we’re talking about a terpene…OCIMENE!
As always, Why is this topic important? For me, it’s because it’s in my favorite strain, and it’s all about focus and elevation…our cannabis message!
I figured that Ocimene is probably part of my day-to-day more than I realize, so I wanted to chat about it!
Ocimene- what is it?
Not often considered a dominant terpene, but definitely a main player for sure!
Ocimene, a monoterpene also identified as Beta-Ocimene, is derived from the Greek word "Ocimum," which means basil.
This terpene offers many medicinal and therapeutic uses for its uplifting effects, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties.
Ocimene has been examined to work better with myrcene and pinene, among other terpenes.
And as with many terpenes that Junp into the entourage effect…When combined with other cannabinoids, Ocimene produces more potent effects and is also believed to act as a protective agent of plants against harmful elements. Other benefits of this terpene are: …Tune in to find out :)
