1. Cal Quantrill has been on quite a tear. He was excellent again today even without his best stuff. He is putting his name in record books. This past month he stepped up every time the Guardians faced a contender, with his only bad outings coming against non-playoff-bound teams. Is Cal Quantrill the American League pitcher of the month? Is there any doubt at all who the Guardians top three pitchers are WHEN this team makes the postseason? 
2. We talk about the return of stickiness to pitching. There have been no suspensions or follow-ups to the new rule and spin rates are through the roof. Have Guardians pitchers maybe found a way to help themselves? How big a deal is it when there has been an acceptance of players who are really good at sneakily doctoring baseball through the history of the game? We also dive into the game itself which saw nearly every hitter in the lineup get on base. I also defend Owen Miller as the DH today, and explain why he should be used more against right-handed pitchers. We also talk about playoff odds, and how likely both the Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Guardians playoff chances are. 
3. We preview/review the Orioles series. It is just one game in so it makes sense to reset things for the rest of the series. A series the Cleveland Guardians should very much SWEEP. While the two lineups are close to even Cleveland having such a massive advantage in the bullpen and rotation they need to win these next two games to ensure a lead while the Twins are surging.
