CALVARY By Daisy Dean Hare Sumpter
There’s a path that leads to Calvary
Where the King of Glory died
Where the precious cleansing fountain flowed
From out His wounded side
Have you ever been to Calvary
Seen Him hanging there alone?
Did you ever see Him anguish?
Did you ever hear Him groan?
Once I walked this path to Calvary
And my heart was sad and lone
But I heard the Savior saying
“For your sins I did atone”
Then my burned all was lifted
And my night was turned to day
Now my soul is filled with glory
As I walked the homeward way
Won’t you walk this path to Calvary
Meet the Christ the crucified
Won’t you let Him bear your burdens
Won’t you on His love abide?
All your sins will be forgiven
He’ll remember them no more
Hand in hand He’ll walk beside you
Till your journey here is o’er.
For such a time as this LORD – Thank you that I had a grandmother who was close to You. May I be such a grandmother to my family… that they will see You – when they look at me…
I’m here to tell you this morning… the corruption is deeply embedded and …. We cannot we MUST not allow it to stay!
When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.
