A pickpocket is terrorizing Bristolport - a pickpocket with a very strange voice. "Very strange" quickly morphs into "Foreign," and Amar is falsely accused and put in jail. Beryl is certain of Amar's innocence; Commissioner Lawrence isn't so sure. Will Beryl be able to free her friend? Will Commissioner Lawrence lose her forever because of his doubt?
