Thanks for listening to another episode of the Women’s Maximum Fitness Podcast!
After listening to this interview, if you don’t like IFBB pro Brooke Walker, that’s probably a you problem. Brooke is one of the most genuine women in the bodybuilding industry, super unique but ridiculously relatable. This beautiful women’s physique pro and is about as real as people come. Brooke is a personal trainer, online coach, and group fitness instructor in Arkansas.
In this episode #57 we discuss gen pop and competitor health and fitness throughout as Brooke shares her journey from power lifting at age 12, to becoming an IFBB pro 13 years later at the age of 25. This interview is relatability its finest with Brooke divulging her “normal” relationship with the scale, body dysmorphia during prep, and the tenacity that frustration has built from numerous “second place wins”.
She talks about the importance of enjoying your first show, being in it for the long haul if you choose bodybuilding, and always bringing a package to stage that you yourself love and are proud to walk away with. She talks about boundaries in the sport, the reality of cheating on her diet, being a vegetarian, her training split, hybrid training and more. So much to take away from this one and Brooke does not disappoint! Super grateful for her time, energy, and message to women (and men) tuning in everywhere.
