Thin 30 AWG 'wire wrap' wire can be used to solder to fine pitch pins and parts for repairs or debugging. We always recommend every engineer have a roll on hand - even though it is not good for use with a breadboard, it's essential for repairing or hacking PCBs.
Originally these were used for point-to-point circuit creation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wire_wrap) with a wire-wrapping tool (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/jonard-tools/WSU-30M/5986) - before the cost of PCBs plummeted (https://www.digikey.com/en/resources/dkred).
Sometimes called Kynar wire, this is stocked at DigiKey - you might think "OK why is this a Great Search when you can just type wire wrap into the search box?" Well, watch to learn about a few options you may not have known about!
