I take a look at the three trades that were made by the Padres to acquire ace pitching and compare and contrast those three trades. We look at the why and the who of each of these deals. We explain why the Padres made these moves, and what the other teams saw in the parts and pieces they added as well. We compare the Indian's trade to both deals and explain why even though Snell had more value I think the Indians got nearly an equal value in the deal for Clevinger. This is a long one be warned.
