Obesity is the most common health problem in women of reproductive age. Over the last 2 decades, the rates of obesity have increased resulting in a range of complications in pregnancy and in overall health. Does obesity in pregnancy contribute to preterm birth? What about congenital anomalies? Are obese women more likely or less likely to breastfeed? In this episode, we will review the publication from the New England Journal of Medicine (July 2022) reviewing that data on the subject, which is also on the ABOG MOC list for 2023 (February list).
