Stephanie Koczela is CEO and co-founder of Penda Health - a leading private provider of primary health care in East Africa. Since opening its doors over a decade ago, Penda has attended to more than one million patients across 21 medical centers and growing. Digital technologies have been a key tool in enabling Penda Health to march towards its vision of making patient-centered primary healthcare available and accessible in everyone's neighborhood. In this episode, we go into detail about Penda Health's tech-enabled business model which I believe ought to be the gold-standard for scaling primary healthcare in resource constrained contexts. This episode is dedicated to my younger brother Richard who passed away on the 3rd of August 2022 after a long battle with a chronic illness. His passing was a painful reminder that good health is everything. I miss him dearly.
